An Everyday Athlete has a physically active workday, but isn’t someone who participates in a regular fitness routine. They rush to meetings across town, flag down taxis in bad weather, leap over puddles, trudge through urban snowfalls, and slide over icy sidewalks. On-the-job tasks require strenuous movement, such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and stair climbing. Their job may take them traveling in and out doors.
While a physically active job gives them a workout, the Everyday Athlete may not be exercising their muscles in a balanced way. If their core is weak, it leaves them susceptible to occupational, muscular stress injuries, bone fractures, or ligament sprains.
BASIC CORE WORKOUT
The Basic Core Workout starts the Everyday Athlete with foundational level exercises. Routines are based on ability, and are modified according for each individual. This workout improves stability, flexibility and strength in order to meet occupational requirements, prevention of on-the-job injuries, and the performance of everyday living.
INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED CORE WORKOUT
The Intermediate to Advanced Core Workout takes the Everyday Athlete further up the road to core strength. The Basic Workout lays the foundation for exercises of increased difficulty.
